Foreigner investors and Singapore Penthouse

Penthouses in Singapore have continued to be dominated by foreign investors despite the resistance showed by the natives of the area. The reason for this is not far-fetched; the properties around this area have remained attractive to all and sundry.

While the natives might not appreciate the idea of having foreigners own the majority of their properties, the prices offered by the richest of the foreigners were beyond rejection. The phenomenon has created a sort of competition amongst the vying investors.

There are two significant barriers to investors who wish to buy properties in Singapore. The first is the current imposition by the Chinese government to limit the number of foreign investors. Secondly, the natives of the community have over the years become reluctant in selling their properties to just any buyer.

However, despite these barriers, Singapore penthouses have continued to be plowed by the richest of the investors leaving the not-so-wealthy foreigners limited in their choice of properties. Perhaps this might continue till Singapore becomes the home to only the wealthiest in the world.
